Everyone was impressed by how these Haines Hunter boats performed. The conditions were rough, however this is when the Haines Hunter boats show what they are capable of. While the 680 Patriot and 650 Classic have already proven themselves as capable rough weather offshore rigs, everyone was surprised at how well the 585R and 600R performed. One particular attendee was impressed with how soft the ride was on the 600R Breeze, however he thought there would be a compromise in stability. That was until the skipper slowed down to a drift and proceeded to get all 4 passengers to one side of the Haines Hunter boat. Usually a soft and quiet ride is achieved by sacrificing stability at rest. This is definitely not the case with the Haines Hunter 585R and Haines Hunter 600R Breeze models.

The weather wasn’t kind with wet and windy conditions, however this didn’t dampen the day as the Haines Hunter boats were constantly on the water with passengers on board. It was an enjoyable day with a sausage sizzle and give aways. Special thanks to Chris Hall from Portland Bait and tackle for helping promote the day and organising the sausage sizzle.
